ABOUT ME:
We relocated our family to Kelowna a few years ago and love the lifestyle that the Okanagan offers.
I am originally from St.Boniface, a Francophone community within Winnipeg, Manitoba, but left when I was 23 yrs old to travel and live abroad. The travel bug stayed with me for a little more than 9 years, and took me throughout Southeast Asia, Australia, Europe, and for a long duration (8 years) in France. I lived "en Bretagne" (Brittany) which is located in the Western region of France.
I obtained my first undergraduate degree at L'Université de Rennes 2, where I studied French and English Literature. Upon returning to Canada I completed my Bachelor's of Education (B.Ed), with a Major in French Immersion studies from The University of Winnipeg. I obtained my Master of Science (M.Sc) in Educational Methodology in Policy and Leadership from The University of Oregon in 2015.
I have been teaching French Immersion and FSL for 13 years at the secondary level, and most recently have been the French Immersion Department Head and teacher at one of Surrey School District's Secondary Schools. I am happy to have joined SD23 and look forward to connecting with my students and their families.
